When you go online and decide to choose a web design company the choices you do have are some what limitless. There are just so many companies now online on the google search engine that you are really spoilt for choice. The question is how do you know what web design company to engage to look after not only your online marketing but also your search engine optimisation or SEO?

There are many web design companies who tout their business on google and pretty much if you do bother to read what they are saying all say the same thing. They all seem to offer the same web design services, they seem to offer the same thing and they all on the surface appear to be offering the same thing.

On top of this you do have search engine optimisation companies appearing to be web design companies and vise versa. So at the very end of the day the question remains how do you choose the right comapny and once cjosen how in all good faith do you know that the choice you have made is in fact the right choice.

Ther are probably two really important things that you should do prior to engaging a company. One is to ask the potential company to show you a list of clients they have worked with in the past say one to two years as well as finding out some testimonials of clients. Perhaps even give these clients a quick call to see the kind of service they received as well as the kind of turn around times they experienced in the web design process. Its always good to really thoroughly check references and testimonials. Have a wide spread check list as this way you will get a full understanding of not only the type of people and businesses they worked with but also you will get a cross section of businesses and not just one or two businesses.

Also, see if the web company is happy to have a face to face meeting or at least an in depth phone conversation with you to discuss a web brief in detail. Doing it all via email is not an ideal solution and this should be a determining factor in making your informed decision.
